5 seconds of summer were forced to take their show to an end early Saturday evening after guitarist Michael Clifford hair caught fire on stage.

The Australian band nears the end of his second night at Wembley Arena in London, performing his hit "She looks so perfect" when the accident occurred. A fan video shows Clifford scooting around the stage through columns of flame shooting. Soon after, the smoke erupts from his head, and he runs off the stage, trying to put out the fire with a towel.

As MTV reports, drummer Ashton Irwin finally emerged to tell the audience that the show was over. "Michael has done himself harm so we will not be continuing the program at this time," he said. "I just want to say thanks for coming. He's fine. You were the best people we could ask tonight. Thank you."

Later that night, members of the band sent some Tweets to reassure fans that his 19-year-old guitarist would be fine. "Nobody wants to see his best friend in the state I saw microphone backstage" wrote bassist Calum Hood. "He is a soldier and well."

Clifford posted a picture of himself with a mean face covered in bandages. "Sorry, I could not stop repeating, but at least look like two sides," he wrote. "Thanks for worrying every1 x". On Sunday, he shared even more good news, indicating that his injuries could not interrupt touring schedule the band: "loads to feel better and my face is fine :) excited for the show tonight."

It's been a difficult weekend for the security scenario. In Sweden on Friday, the Fighters, Dave Grohl Foo was hospitalized in the middle of a show after breaking his leg after falling from the stage. Although he returned an hour later to end the game, the band has canceled his next two performances.
